Community Recovery Update

As all in STL are aware, the tornado that stormed through on the afternoon of May 16, 2025, has devastated so many individuals, families, businesses, and churches in North St. Louis and the Central West End. Our hearts go out to all those impacted.

These photos demonstrate some of the roof and other damage we have experienced at Pilgrim Congregational UCC. When our power is restored and we have our facility protected from further damage, we will continue to strengthen our partnerships with our sister churches (Union Avenue Christian Church and Centennial Christian Church) and Academy of Sherman Park Neighborhood Association to support the emergency response and ongoing recovery efforts for our neighborhood and others impacted by the storms.

We pause now to express our gratitude to these groups, individuals, and many others for the outpouring of support and assistance in this initial phase of the clean-up efforts in our neighborhood.
